Niki Dawson has worked in animal welfare in varying capacities for almost 25 years. She is a NJ Certified Animal Control Officer and NJ Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator and has served as Executive Director for the Liberty Humane Society and the Camden County Animal Shelter. Most recently, Niki served as the Director of Disaster Services for the Humane Society of the United States. She has been a first responder for animals in disasters for eight years. She is the Director of the Hudson County Animal Response team and is the President of the Animal Welfare Federation of NJ. Niki has also served on the NJ Department of Agriculture’s steering committee to determine best practices and to standardize County Animal Response Teams operating procedures. Niki lives in Somerset County with her husband, three children, two dogs, three cats, two guinea pigs and a fish.
